Day One Hundred Forty: What about Prostate Cancer?
As of today, there are 323 Breat Cancer groups on flickr. There are two prostate cancer specific groups.
And breast cancer has a pink ribbon that everyone has on their cars, bookbags, and even bodies.
Why the lack of support for prostate cancer? Is it because everyone agrees that breasts are beautiful while penises are… well….
Or is it just easier to rally around a disease that affects women because they’re viewed as more fragile?
Not that I’m hating on breast cancer support. I’m just curious why there isn’t the same level of prostate cancer support.
PS – I don’t suffer from it. Just curious about this difference in coverage.
