Factoring Age and Health Into Prostate Cancer Treatment – Dr. Samadi on National Greek TV

Dr. Samadi talks to a caller who was told that surgery would be detrimental to him because of his prior heart surgery. He was told that he might not survive. Dr. Samadi believes in individualized treatment. If the patient is in otherwise good health and has normal urination, he advises watchful waiting for PSA or radiation for older patients. Surgery is ideal for younger patients. He also advised taking Avodart or Proscar, which is capable of reducing the PSA by 50 percent.
